Muaythai exponent Mohd Ali ready to fight anyone

MALAYSIAN Muaythai exponent Mohd Ali Yaakub is confident in his upcoming fight even though his opponent has yet to be confirmed.
The 26-year-old Terengganu lad who trains with Dragon Muaythai Club in Kuala Lumpur said he was ready to face anyone in the Thailand vs Challenger Series (TVC) which is being held in Malaysia for the first time, following its success in Thailand, Germany and Dubai.
“I believe in my abilities. I am not worried about who my opponents are. I have been training hard and I am confident I can win regardless of who I face,” he said.
Ali, who currently holds four different belts, will be featured in an epic Muaythai battle that will feature two local heroes and four internationally renowned fighters on Oct 9 at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, organised by Elite Boxing.

Thailand VS Challenger Series is a high-proρle international Muay-thai boxing event, which pits the greatest boxers in Thailand against top contenders from other countries.
The event was established to provide world class martial arts entertainment intriguingly fused together with classy fashion elements that are enriched with local arts and culture.
Ali, who will lead the Malaysian team, won the first ever TVC event when he defeated Sornthong of Thailand in Bangkok in 2010.
“I started training when I was 12 as my father and uncles were Muaythai fighters and coaches, and they helped me a lot,” Ali said. The pint-sized fighter has already won tournaments in Hong Kong and Australia.
Another Malaysian who will be representing Asia is local Muaythai hero, Faizal Ramli “The Golden Elbow”, who also competed in the last Challenger Muaythai series. The main ρght of the Thailand VS Asia event will feature the winner of the Challenger Muaythai series when Madsua of Thailand takes on Mosi from Iran.
With a global television audience of 600 million people across 180 countries, Thailand VS Challenger is the most highly recognised international event in the global calendar of top-level Muaythai competition.
